How to Obey the Voice of God.
by Brad Tuttle from NOCO Revivalists
We pray to love, obey and to cling. We read an inspiring, instructive and life changing Scripture in Deuteronomy 30:20 (NKJV) where we are admonished to “…love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and length of days;”.
Love – a word with such broad understanding to such a multiple array of people with so many levels of meanings. So, what does the Bible say? We read in 1 John 4:7-8 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” And again, in verse 16 “God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”
Love is a word to live, experience, demonstrate, and share. Romans 5:8 informs us “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God did not just tell us He loved us, He demonstrated it! How do you and I demonstrate to Jesus that we fervently and passionately love Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength?
“Love the LORD your God that you may obey His voice” tells us that if we love Him, we will obey Him. It also relays the message that if we love Him, it is possible to obey His voice. The word “obey” is such an anti-flesh, anti-self word that ruffles our feathers, doesn’t it?! But, “obey” and all its tenses is listed 153 times in the Word of God. We better die to self, and learn to obey. Please slowly read Hebrews 5:8-9 “though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him”.
So why love and obey our beloved Jesus who gave His life for us – so that we may cling to Him, for He is our life. In Hebrew, the word means impinge, cling, adhere, abide or cleave. It is a personal, heart-felt word that we can actually feel and touches our emotions. Jesus desires us to cling to Him, to cleave to Him—to abide in Him. Abide is mentioned 12 times in the book of John – interesting … the disciple whom Jesus dearly loved. A Scripture that we all know is John 15:4 “Abide in Me, and I in you.” Oh Lord, may this be our hearts desire.
Oh Jesus, how our heart rejoices as we read in Your Word that we love because You first loved us (see 1 Jn. 4:19). How can we not love You – when You loved us first?! And Your love never fails – never gives up on us. Why would we not want to obey someone who’s love is higher than the highest mountain, wider than the widest ocean? In our wildest imagination, would we ever conceive the Great God on high, Creator of all things desires us to cling to Him, to abide in Him, to spend eternity with Him? Jesus, how we love You. We fall down on our knees and cry out Thank You, dear Jesus.

Testimonies of the Twins
One night in about 2007-2008, about 4 am I heard God say, “I need you to go and pray for 3 people who are dying.” He showed me a picture of a couple from our church that I barely knew. I rarely store names because we are always on the move and few people are seen regularly. I may have remembered their first names in my head, but now in this writing, I do not even remember their names.
Anyway, I got up and woke up my husband and said, “I need to go to the hospital on the mainland.” We lived on an island in Puget Sound. He said, “That is an hour or more away! Okay, God be with you.” And went back to bed. Then I woke up our college age daughter and asked if she wanted to take the day off from the orchard work and come be a prayer warrior. She said, “No, I will pray too from here.”
I went and caught the first ferry of the day to the mainland. The hospital was in Everett WA about an hour or so away. It was dark and I could not find any staff manning the buildings. Unfortunately, I did not know the name of the family. When I arrived, I put my full trust in the one who sent me, my God the Creator of the cosmos and all in it, that He would be faithful and let me know where to find the family.
I said, “God, which building, which elevator, which floor?” He let me know and I obeyed. But it was still a surprise when the father was standing at the elevator door when it opened. He fell into my arms, in torrential tears. He said, “They are dying.” I said, “God sent me so I think they are not. Let us pray.” He took me to his wife’s room.
The door was cracked open and two doctors were there. I heard them tell the new mother “You are bleeding and you already have had two transfusions. We cannot find the location where you are bleeding.” The husband and I left to go to the nursery where the twins were in incubators. The nurses said, “They are not thriving.” We took the babies out and started rubbing them, praying for them and telling them, “All is well. Welcome to earth you are going to be fine. Wake up and look at all the wonders there are here.” We spoke life over them for a long while and returned them to their incubators.
Then we went to pray for his wife. We repeated this for hours back and forth. About 8 am, I called the prayer team at my church. Around 10 am a prayer warrior arrived. She said, “You can go home now.” My response was “When The One who sent me releases me to leave, I will.” About noon, I went to a nearby grocery and purchased some roasted chicken, fruit and pastries. It was well received, especially by me and the father.
The mother stopped bleeding. The twins were accepting nourishment. By 5 pm, God had changed everything. The father had showered and was resting in the sun coming in through the west windows, the twins were being comfortable on his warm chest, thriving. The prayer team had left some time ago.
What a blessing to witness the thriving twins with the father basking in the sun. All was well. Praise God.
Then Papa God released me.
I called Larry, my husband, about filling their freezer with two weeks of frozen food. Of course, he said, “Yes.” Praise God for Costco on the mainland. I left, took the ferry back to the island and went to their home with food. I called the church community and requested that they wait two weeks before the church crew started visits and food rotations. Shortly thereafter the new mom and dad changed churches. We would see them, once in a while, at the Summer Arts Festival, until we left the island in 2017.
Papa God had saved two more of his children. All the glory goes to God.
Praise God!

Freedom is a Journey
More peaceful if you are walking with Christ
Wow my head is spinning about all I want to say about the journey to freedom.
Freedom is a choice. Compliance is a choice.
Why are we here on earth? To achieve the freewill decision to choose God, We are given peace and decision of who's we are. God's or Evil's. Life is so simple, choose!
Yes, there is only one choice and each minute of every day you choose.
While people discuss how many sexual choices can you make you are being distracted from the true conversation. God (good) or evil (devil worship) are you in or out.
Are you in the blessing and favor of God or in the living hell of the demonic. Simple understanding of live. Real understanding of live. what you speak is what you are. What you believe is what you are.
Try believing God is for you and not against you.
Try speaking life over yourself.
Try saying all is going to work out for my good because the God of the cosmos said it would.
Try smiling and laughing for no reason. And do it again and again until that is the normal for you.
That is the journey to redirect the distraction and confusion to love and life. Once I had a teacher say “so what is so wrong with you that you don't want to be friends with you?” WOW how rude... but correct.
I like me now and have for a very long time. It is fun to be friends with yourself. To be happy in your own company. Of course, I am always talking with the Godhead and so I am never truly alone since my early childhood. I may have that leg up on your path. Welcome the Godhead in to your heart and see the major changes in your life too.
Stop complying with debt. Stop complying with all the dictate you see as normal. Ask Holy Spirit to lead you. The enemy wants you to freely put the chains of obsession, oppression and depression on. Don't comply. Don’t comply with much is freedom. True freedom is your God given right. Not the right to be a victim. No government can give you something it is not over. Your rights are not in their hands. Find the vision and compassion to see others pain and yours will disappear.
Praising God will bring endless joy.
Question might be:
Are you really free?
Do you have a love for your own company?

Blog February 24, 2023 Finding Joy in the Journey
Journey of life is to be joy-filled even in the trials. The journey is the important part not the destination. As Christian’s our destination is to run the best race and get home to heaven with exciting adventures with the trinity on earth to tell all your friends about for an eternity.
Questions you might entertain discussion on:
- What is it going to be like in heaven if you only have a few stories to talk about?
- When you crying are you in joy? Yes. How?
- What exciting adventure with the Trinity have you had?
Note: Not all will believe the same it is OK. Not everyone will recognize an adventure.
Here is an adventure
